European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing (18 -20 October 2021, online)

During the European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing, Pharaon organises a joint workshop on “Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs) driving innovation ecosystems for ageing well” together with other Large-Scale Pilots SHAPES, GATEKEEPER and SmartBear, and the Open Dei project.

The European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing emerged from the AAL Forum, an annual event for the community of healthy ageing  and gathers to discuss the existing opportunities in health technology and reflect on the future of ageing well in the digital world. It gathers more than 700 delegates from different fields and domains in a different location every year.

The focus of the Large-Scale Pilots’ workshop will be on their work aimed at building comprehensive and user-friendly ecosystems for active and healthy ageing, using co-creation with stakeholders ranging from older persons, health care professionals, researchers and industry, to identify needs and co-design services to improve older persons lives.

In the light of the Large-Scale Pilots open calls for ready to be used digital solutions that can be integrated in the respective platforms,  the workshop will also bring pilots of the LSPs together with other solutions, including those funded by AAL or used in EIP on AHA reference sites. Therefore, the workshop will promote not only innovation, but it will also foster knowledge exchange and technology transfer.
