Pharaon: Introducing technology for caregivers of older adults

Pharaon partners InnoRenew CoE, in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Health, and Pharaon project partners from other pilots, organized the event “Introducing technology for caregivers of older adults”, held on 13 May 2024 at InnoRenew CoE and online.

Mateja Erce Paoli, InnoRenew CoE’s researcher, welcomed all participants and presented some of the key activities of the Pharaon project. Later partners presented their pilot studies from Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal. They focused on innovative technologies designed to facilitate the care of older adults and how technology can bring easier control and peace of mind while improving the quality of life for older adults.

The meeting was also an opportunity for participants to learn about the various technological devices and tools developed from all Pharaon project partners, and at the same time to provide feedback on their perception of the technologies and needs in retirement homes. In addition, participants tested existing technologies, and were informed about the current state and developments in the field of technological assistance for older adults.
