Pharaon Italian pilot awarded best paper at ForItAAL

On December 1st 2020, the Italian pilot was presented at the XI Forum Italiano of Ambient Assisted Living (ForItAAL) by Laura Fiorini, the Italian pilot coordinator. The forum aims to bring together active scholars and experts of Ambient Assisted Living representing a unique occasion to discuss at the Italian level the innovations in this field.

The partners of the Italian pilot (SSSA, UP, CSS, OKEY, CORO, and HPE) joined their efforts in writing a position paper for the conference on “Personalized Integrated care for frail seniors within the Pharaon Project: the Italian pilot site”. The paper was awarded as the best paper of the conference and has received congratulation from the chair and the audience that was interested and opened a discussion on the work done within the project.

Particularly, the paper introduces the methodology and the actions performed to face the Covid-19 pandemic which affects the first stage of the project, the service domains, and the methodology applied. Additionally, it discusses the key performance indicators related to impact, business, social and clinical domains and how the technology is used within the Italian pilot to support the population during the pandemic emergency.

Next year the Italian forum will take place jointly with the AAL Forum, where Pharaon organizes a workshop together with other Large-Scale Pilots – see you in Trieste!
